Brian Gerrard
BSc, PEng, MIET
Brian served time as an engineer and a toolmaker followed by engineering design in a drawing office as a draughtsman. He was in management prior to branching into sales and marketing which included six months in the USA. This was followed by company familiarisation working in Germany. His subsequent years in Sales Management and Directorship in a gearbox design and manufacturing company sold to international engineering groups.
Brian’s qualifications include a Higher National Diploma in Production Engineering, a Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering and a BSc (mechanical) University of London.
His subsequent career change was into teaching technical subjects in grant maintained schools up to retirement. He continues with engineering skills as a model maker and designer of sundials at home.
