SPE Council Meeting 18th August 2008
SPE, at its Council meeting on 18th August 2008, reviewed developments at local, national and international levels, set the date for its AGM (18th November 2008) and is working on its programme for 2009-2010. The proposed AGM date for 2009 is 27th October which marks the 40th anniversary of the formation of the SPE. A range of activities will be prepared for the coming months and the celebratory year.
Council re-confirmed its commitment to developing links with:-
- The Institution of Diagnostic Engineers (based in the UK)
- La Société des Ingenieurs Professionnels de France (SNIPF)
- The Institute of Management Specialists (UK)
- National Society of Professional Engineers (USA)
- Association of British Engineers in Italy
- Association for Facilities Engineering (USA).
The President, in conjunction with The Chief Executive, will be meeting with SNIPF in Strasbourg in September as recently agreed.
The Society welcomes new members and articles for publication within its Bulletin and online.
